Hillel’s Firing of 14 Teachers
My kids attended Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy during the early years of Dr. Adam Holden’s rein. My wife was a member of the Board. She resigned after being frozen out for vocally disagreeing with the way Dr. Holden roughly handled some teacher relations. We “were” huge supporters, both as promoters of the school and financially.
History will repeat itself. Adam Holden is very good at assuaging the fears of students and parents alike with a vague promise to review and/or revisit a decision. But as you wrote; he has the full backing of the Board therefore he has no reason to, nor will he, actually change any decision he has already made. Regardless of what the parents and students are saying. Adam is like the pied piper, when you’re under his spell everything he says and does is “G-d’s gift to Jewish education”. The students and parents MUST NOT relax their pressure on the Board and Adam for change. Otherwise time will expire and he will claim that his hands were tied. Do NOT become placated until you have a solution set in stone. Adam knows that he works for the Board not the students nor the parents. Regrettably, the Board forgets that they work for the parents and students. They will claim a higher moral calling to do the “right thing”. The “right thing” according to Dr. Adam Holden.
I wish the Hillel school good luck in handling this situation.

Thank you for your interest in our school and from preventing history from repeating itself through a demise of another institution of Jewish Education.
Board members, parents, students, faculty, and other interested parties - - -take NOTE
WE HAVE BEEN WARNED BY SOMEONE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION TO OUR SCHOOL OR COMMUNITY - - JUST AN INTERESTED FELLOW JEW WHO CARES ABOUT THE EDUCATION OF OUR JEWISH CHILDREN.
This comment holds a lot of weight in my book!
TAKE NOTE EVERYONE! IT IS WORTH LISTENING TO!

Absolutely!
I believe the board is comprised of extremely nice individuals and that this man, an excellent salesperson, with charisma, charm, accent, and good looks to boot, did a complete SNOW JOB on them.
I’ve heard that Druin is even more insidious than Holden.
We need to learn from history and not allow our school to be the next casualty.
We are on the way to repair.
MEMBERS OF THE BOARD: KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BUT DON’T STOP SHORT OF COMPLETING THE ENTIRE JOB!
