This post comes directly from me, the site administrator:
While I, Tamar (Palgon) Weinberg ‘99, site administrator, am not going to be in Florida for the election tonight, this is an official site endorsement of the Hillel4Change slate. I firmly stand behind these wonderful individuals who have only the best interests for the school and for the future of our students and teachers, and I urge you all to vote accordingly tonight.

9 Mindy // Jun 6, 2007 at 11:12 pm
not good…..the exec board kept their positions.
10 Anonymous // Jun 6, 2007 at 11:48 pm
something like 327 votes…
98 Denise
128 Diana
After that most people felt so sick they had to go home to puke.
The teachers were crest fallen and no one there cared.
Bottom line a statement was made tonight
This was the first election in Hillel’s history.
Probably 500 people there.
All the elem teachers showed
Many of the high school too.
No matter what they think their opinion is NOT unanimous and it’s a hollow one because the teachers are MISERABLE
To hear the dictator speak, you would have needed a barf bag from an airplane.

14 Mindy // Jun 6, 2007 at 11:59 pm
I still think there are SACs violations.

A DAY WHERE TEACHERS LIVE IN FEAR
WHERE MANY LATINS VOTE FOR THEIR FRIENDS AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE TRUTH OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER
A SAD DAY INDEED

BURNED…YOU GUYS OBVIOUSLY OVERESTIMATED YOURSELVES…NOW WE CAN REALLY GO FORWARD WITH THE PLAN TO MAKE HILLEL TRULY A SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE…THE VOTERS VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD!!!!

In one of the speeches one of the new slate candidates mentioned that Board Members were requesting to look at the books and the audits and that those requests were being denied until after the election
Someone might want to call the IRS

Aaron, you are more correct than you know. A year or so down the line you probably will not see a single teacher that you knew.
But then again, that was the plan all along. We were warned by the folks from Kansas that Holden would clean house.
The young parents at the meeting tonite fell right into their trap.
21 Anonymous // Jun 7, 2007 at 12:20 am
The parents, students, and alumni of Kansas were so on target
Their school was saved
This school is done for

It is time to work together in the interest of our children and our school. The awareness level has been raised and it is crystal clear that everyone is watching. The board knows they are being held accountable.
We must join forces and work together. We have to unite for the sake of our children, our teachers, and our school. We can accomplish so much - - we will need to join the committees and make our presence known. By doing so, we can help effectuate change and protect our teachers!

August should be interesting…..If the charter school gets off the ground as planned, there will be considerably fewer kids in the elem school– parents who have not as yet notified Hillel.
I would not be surprised to find many Hillel teachers doing some job hunting this summer.
Tamar, will you please leave the site up for awhile so that we can continue to communicate?
For example, I do not understand the statement above about the books/audit.
Tamar, thank-you for everthing! And all other alumni, too!

Michelle Holcman, the excellent teacher who the seniors dedicated this year’s yearbook to (along with R. Lefkowitz) has also resigned now thanks to the dictator.
Today, these parents allowed the school to be totally hijacked.
Our best teachers will soon be gone.

Call the IRS folks
26 Anonymous // Jun 7, 2007 at 12:54 am
Adam Holden now has carte blanche to do whatever he wants.
He was just given a blank check; he now has free reign to continue his evil regime and get rid of all the teachers he pleases…WHO’S NEXT?
27 Anon // Jun 7, 2007 at 1:51 am
It’s Shame what happend tonight we thought there was hope with the new slate. I guess enough parent’s didn’t know the truth. They will soon find out as time goes by . We know you all worked so hard but you did what you could. We still think all of our new slate should of won. We the parent’s of Hillel thank you all for doing such a great job and for saving our teachers jobs. Maybe someday the parent’s of Hillel will see that they did a Big Mistake not voting for you all. Thanks for trying.

Tears fall
raining torrents
the heart bleeds

I suggest that all teachers leave and let’s see if Hillel can really become a “school of excellence.”
Good luck to you.
The demise of Hillel has just been determined due to a popularity contest rather than what’s right for hillel.

Mr. Sinyor, you need to grow up. It is sad that Hillel is governed by individuals who would rather see Hillel crash and burn than bring it to high moral standards that once was this school before you became President.

Tornadic swirls of blackened sky
glitzed with the ire of
blazing lightning
luck is luck
the storm watch gleans
Truth sucked dry of all
meaning
The heart is wraithly cut out
There is no truth in beauty
But, there is truth in storms
32 It is difficult // Jun 7, 2007 at 4:33 pm
To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal …
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance …
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
ecclesiastes 3:1-8

And history is re-written
Once the past is wiped out , no one can refer to it and thus the leaders have total control over the present and future
